The Niro aspires to become one of the greenest cars on the market. It is indeed eco-friendly with its parallel hybrid system which makes efficient fuel use by switching between gasoline and electric power – or uses both. Moreover, the deceleration of the car enables electric tractions which capture the kinetic energy and use them to recharge its battery. This enables low CO2 emissions, counting 88 g/km. The KIA Niro also combines an energy-dense 1.56 kWh lithium-ion battery, an electric motor and a 1.6L gasoline-direct injection (GDI) engine for optimum performance.

At the cutting-edge of technology, KIA’s Advanced Driver Assistance Systems boasts innovative solutions for its driver’s safety. In addition to being equipped with 7 airbags, a parking assist system, and an electronic stability control for an irreproachable braking performance, the Kia Niro is also geared with an auto-defogger system – which detects and gets rid of any condensation forming on the inside of the front windshield. For those of you who are even more safety-conscious, there is also a tyre pressure monitoring system. This keeps track of the pressure inside each tyre and sends a warning if there is an under-inflated one.
